One Flesh

The sacrament of marriage was created by God to be sacred and holy. The Most High instituted this sacred bond of uniting two persons together with the desire of the male and female being in love and thus becoming "one flesh" (Mt. 19:5); the fruit of their union being another human being created out of love. "Each and every time that motherhood is repeated in human history, it is always related to the Covenant which God established with the human race through the motherhood of the Mother of God." Reverence and chastity is called to uphold the dignity of holy matrimony and motherhood. Sadly, society does not look upon the sacredness of marriage and motherhood with reverence but rather looks upon it with contempt and indifference.

Divorce has been "normalized" and for one to remain married for a long period of time has become increasingly uncommon. In the time of the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, it was common for a man to simply write a bill of divorce if he so chose to do so. The wife held no real importance and so if her husband decided to leave her, she had no say. This is a grave injustice as it brings dishonor and destroys the sacredness and union of marriage. It regards the woman as worthless and contemptible. Jesus revealed the true meaning and beauty of marriage by rebuking the ideology of the Pharisees by His sacred words "from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate" (Mark 10:6-9). This is what was at the Heart of God the Father when He created marriage, a union grounded in faithfulness, overflowing with love.

Heaven speaks. After receiving apparitions of the Blessed Mother in 1917, one of the visionaries Sister Lucia Dos Santos warned us “Many marriages are not good; they are not pleasing to Our Lord and are not good.”

Lucia also said...

"The final battle between the Lord and the kingdom of Satan will be about Marriage and the Family. Don't be afraid, because whoever works for the sanctity of Marriage and the Family will always be fought against and opposed in every way, because this is the decisive issue. Nevertheless, Our Lady has already crushed his head.”

Our Lady of Good success in the 17th century informs her children...

“Thus I make it known to you that from the end of the 19th century and shortly after the middle of the 20th century... the passions will erupt and there will be a total corruption of morals. As for the Sacrament of Matrimony, which symbolizes the union of Christ with His Church, it will be attacked and deeply profaned... freemasonry, which will then be in power, will enact iniquitous laws with the aim of doing away with this Sacrament, making it easy for everyone to live in sin and encouraging procreation of illegitimate children born without the blessing of the Church. In those times the atmosphere will be saturated with the spirit of impurity which, like a filthy sea, will engulf the streets and public places with incredible license. Innocence will scarcely be found in children, or modesty in women. In this supreme moment of need for the Church, the one who should speak will fall silent.”

How beautiful that holy matrimony holds the dignity of symbolizing the union of Christ with His Church, yet how far are we from this ideal nowadays. Our Lady speaks of freemasonry which is anti-Christ. This organization appears to the outsiders view as a "charity" yet their mission and goal is to destroy the Catholic Church by defeminizing the woman. "...in order to destroy the Catholicism, it is necessary to commence by suppressing woman'...but since we cannot suppress woman, let us corrupt her.." (letter between two leading freemasons, August 9th, 1838) and "Religion does not fear the dagger's point; but it can vanish under corruption. Let us not grow tired of corruption: we may use a pretext, such as sport, hygiene, health resorts. It is necessary to corrupt, that our boys and girls practice nudism in dress. To avoid too much reaction, one would have to progress in a methodical manner: first, undress up to the elbow; then up to the knees; then arms and legs completely uncovered; later, the upper part of the chest, the shoulders, etc, etc". (International review on freemasonry 1928)

There would not be so much opposition and evil intent to destroy the Catholic Church and modesty if it were not the Truth and if it were not most holy and sacred. It's clear that as immodesty increases so does immorality and the destruction of the domestic church which is the family. What does one do in the face of evil? How do we respond to a society that has gone totally corrupt and views right as wrong and wrong as right?

The answer is simple: pray. Almost in all of Our Lady's apparitions she earnestly commands "Pray the rosary every day to obtain peace for the world." Let us heed the Blessed Mother's words by taking up our beaded weapons, the Rosary, and obtain peace for the world.

St. Joseph terror of demons, pray for us.
